Welcome to Jefferson Travel Softball!
The Jefferson Softball travel program was established to provide a higher level of play and competition for those girls who are ready for the next level. All Tryouts are held at Ridge Field (Ralph Ackerson Field)
Tryout dates are as follows:
Friday, July 14th - 6:30pm - 12U
Friday, July 14th - 7:30pm - 14U
Friday, July 14th - 8:30pm - High School
Saturday July 15th - 10:00am - 8U
Saturday, July 15th - 11:00am - 10U
A possible make up date will be announced if it is necessary, with the date to be determined.
Tryouts for Travel Teams are made with the expectation that a player is committing to the upcoming Fall season, as well as the following Spring Season. The typical schedule for our Travel teams consists of the upcoming Fall season which will go from Mid-August to End of October, followed by indoor winter training sessions (Jan thru March), and then lastly the 2024 Spring Season (April thru June) which includes league play as well as tournaments.
Registration Fees for travel teams are determined based on the cost of indoor training, league fees, tournament fees, uniforms, insurance, equipment, umpires, etc. This cost is divided by the number of the girls on the team. We currently do not offer scholarships at this level.
Travel teams can be fielded at the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and High School age levels.
HighSchool (fall season only) division numbers permitting. (games to be played on Sundays only for HS Division)
In the Fall and Spring, outdoor practices are held at fields in Jefferson Township. In the winter, indoor training will be on Sundays. There may be additional indoor/outdoor training sessions as well.
If anyone is interested in Coaching a travel team, a resume must be submitted to Jefferson Softball by Friday, July 28, 2023 to be considered.
